Peer Leadership Program

What is the peer leadership?
Peer Leadership is the ability to influence positively the behavior, ideas, attitudes, values and decisions of those in the same age group.

Who can apply to be part of our Peer Leadership program?
Seventh and eighth grade students may apply for this program. Applications are available each fall and are submitted to Ms. Miglin, Knollwood’s School Counselor.

What do Peer Leaders do?
Peer Leaders are involved in a helping Knollwood in a variety of different ways. Peer Leaders may serve on the following committees:

  • 4th Grade Educator
  • 5th Grade Educator
  • Lunch Buddy
  • Homework Helper
  • Peer Tutor
  • 3rd Grade Transition Team
  • New Student Sponsors

What are the responsibilities of a Peer Leader?
Peer Leaders are required to attend training, attend committee meetings, hand paperwork in on time, and most importantly, be a responsible student role model.
